Ms. West oversees ConAm’s human resources activities.  Since joining the company in 1996, she has been responsible for the development of personnel policies and procedures, compliance with state and federal regulations relating to employment, compensation programs, and employee benefits. Ms. West’s primary objectives are to provide the tools and training to make sure ConAm managers recruit the highest caliber associates possible and to foster a work environment that is positive and fair. 

Previously, she spent fifteen years as vice president/administration for John Burnham and Company, a real estate and insurance firm based in San Diego.  Ms. West started her career in human resources with Bechtel Corporation in San Francisco.  

She graduated from Mills College in the San Francisco Bay Area. 

Ms. West has worked closely with the National Multi Housing Council (NMHC) to develop meaningful compensation and benefit surveys for the apartment industry.
